Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
This year, the usual safety concept for this major event was supplemented by a complex hygiene concept, which was well accepted by sailors, coaches and officials. The event was segmented into different areas, access was controlled through different entrances (gates). It was obligatory to wear a mouth-and-nose protection at all times on-site until leaving the berth or slip ramp.
The starting and 'Delta' times of the classes were staggered to avoid crowds at the slip ramps.
Skippers and coach meetings were held online.
In addition to the option of using a corona warning wristband free of charge, temperature scans, voluntary pre-screening and, in case of suspicion, free PCR tests were carried out.
The possibility to submit hearing requests and scoring inquiries online was well received.
