THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
Huge event with almost 600 entries. First time for the organizing authority on an event of this size. The weather conditions hardly allowed to complete half of the program of 8 races. Altogether good organization on the water, with 9 fleets on two race courses. Some challenges ashore on the ramp dedicated to ILCA 6. Also some challenges with the race office for a delay in the publication of results. For future events of this size the club should considered appointing a second scorer. The number of jury rhibs was not adequate to cover 2 race courses and was below the minimum recommendation from EurILCA guidelines. Most jury workflow was managed with panels of 3 under N1.4b. An additional IJ could have helped to provide some flexibility in the composition of panels of 3, or to handle appendix T with a dedicated arbitrator. - ITACU2
