It was the first edition of the Qatar Optimist regatta after some years and it was definitely a success. Excellent race management team from Oman did a great job on the water and the weather conditions allowed to complete the full schedule. Jury was on the water with 3 ribs every day for rule 42 observation. Not many penalties, nor the hearings showed the sailors followed and respected the rules and fair play principles.
Online management system and the notice board was used which was very convenient as to sailors as to coaches and officials.
