As this event was also the Asian Continental Olympics Qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympics, Asian MNAs were hoping to get Olympic places for the Nacra17, 470, 49er, 49erFX, ILCA6 and ILCA7 . The event was extremely well run and most of the officials were the same ones at the recent 2023 Asian Games. There was an issue of a competitor from the country of Uzbekistan who wanted to register himself. However he was denied entry to the competition as Uzbekistan is not a member of World Sailing and neither was the competitor a member of the Class Association.
Tracking with linked videos was used for the event and it was very useful for many of the hearings.
The Jury had some issues with the Jury boats but the OA worked very hard to resolve them. The opening and closing ceremonies were impressive. Board and Lodging for the Jury was excellent.
