Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
Digital communication and organization of this event by the Organizing Authority once again used manage2sail.com and ownChat.de to efficiently communicate with sailors and race officials, while maintaining data protection under the Data Privacy Policy. Additionally, ROMS Regatta Online Management System functioned as a parallel application to manage2sail.com providing for Jury workflow efficiency. Given the sailing venue arrangement of multiple boat parks, the Race Committee once again used a physical and virtual flagpole to communicate visual signals ashore. The Jury Team was comprised of 10 IJs and 6 NJs providing opportunity for judge education and advancement. Morning rule presentations were made during the event by the NJs prompting engaging discussion. NJs were encouraged to chair and scribe hearings when they felt prepared. The event included the following class world championships: Formula 18 World Championship July 24-28, 17 MNAs – 97 boats; 49er Junior World Championship July 24-28, 20 MNAs – 56 boats; 49erFX Junior World Championship July 24-28, 17 MNAs – 48 boats; J/22 World Championship July 26-29, 4 MNAs – 26 boats - USACB5
